Alchi
A busy village in the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir, Alchi is tucked away in the Himalayan region of Ladakh at an altitude of around 3,500 m above sea level. Alchi is nestled in the valley of the Indus River along the ancient trade route and is famous for its gompas. It is connected to Leh with a road network.
Manali
Manali is a year round magnet and backpacker are well catered to offer trekking, rafting, climbing and skiing. Nestled in the mighty Himalayas, Manali has an abundance of spectacular valleys filled with forests of oak, fir, deodar and pine. It is a full package of nature, food, adventure sports and ancient heritages. Splashing river Beas flows proudly amidst the valley. You can also catch sights of sprawling meadows, terraced farming and fruit orchards.
Dharamshala
Dharamshala is known as the abode of The Dalai Lama, a spiritual Tibetan leader. With the backdrop of the breathtaking Dhauladhar ranges, Dharamshala is the one of the most tranquil destinations which you will find in North India, the perfect amalgamation of natural beauty and surrounded by thick deodar cedar trees and the snow capped peaks which decorate the landscape, the quaint city is visited by thousands of tourists to beat the summer blues and explore the best places to visit in Dharamshala.
Amritsar
Amritsar is famous for spectacular Golden Temple, Sikhism holiest shrine, border ceremony at Wagah border and Jallianwala bagh. It is also a good place for foodie as it offers a wide array of sumptuous and mouth-watering Punjabi dishes.

Early morning, transfer to airport catch flight to Leh. Arrival at Leh and transfer to Hotel. Full day free for acclimatization. In the evening, short walk around Leh bazaar.

After breakfast, proceed for Indus Valley Monastery Tour. Visit Shey, the ancient capital of Ladakh. The monastery here has a huge gold-gilded statue of Buddha Sakyamuni with a large silver lamp burning in front of the statue. Then Thiksey Monastery (Gompa), an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. The monastery has a beautiful 30 m high gold-plated statue of Maitreya Buddha, the Buddha of the future.
Drive further to visit the famous Hemis Monastery, founded in the year 1630 by Stag-tsang-ras-pa under the royal patronage of Sengge Namgyal. Hemis is one of the largest and richest monasteries ofLadakh. Later visit the Stok Palace, the Royal residence of the King of Stok & the Museum that has a rich collection of ancient Ladakhi artefacts including old Thangkas, precious stones, arms and armoury, the Queen’s necklace and the crown of the King of Ladakh among others. In evening drive back to Leh.

After breakfast, drive to Basgo Royal Palace. It was an important certre in the olden days, having been the capital of lower Ladakh when the kingdom was divided in the 15th & 16th centuries. We visit the ruins of the Royal Palace at Basgo, Ser Zung Temple, which is know for its great frescoes and finally the temple with an enormous gold and copper statue of the Maitreya Buddha, and later drive to visit Likir Monastery, situated atop a windy cliff overlooking the beautiful village of Likir. It was founded in the 12the Century although the present construction dates back to the 18th century as the original one was destroyed by fire. In its courtyard is a yellow colored 3 storey high mammoth statue of the Buddha, which was constructed by a resident monk. The top floor has an impressive museum containing old thangkas and weapons used many centuries back.
Later drive to Alchi (60 kms away/ 03 hours drive) by crossing across the mighty River Indus over the bridge and reach Ladakh’s most loved Alchi Monastery. Over a century old, its wall paintings are very similar to thos of the tabo gompa in Spiti, Himachal Pradesh. Unlike other monasteries, which are usually on a cliff top or cling to a mountainside, Alchi is at ground leverl and is nestled in the shade of a garden.

After breakfast, drive to Lamayure Monestery. On arrival we check in the Camp/hotel. Lamayure Monastery is one of the most popular and magnificent monasteries of Ladakh. It is known to be the oldest monestic establishment in Ladakh and was founded by Rinchen Zangpo in the 10th century. This Monastery is located amidst the massive mountains. The spectacular setting of this Monastery and its renowned collection of carpets, thangkas and frescoes has been attracting many people all over the world over a long time.
Overnight at hotel or Camp, Lamayur.
Leave in the morning and drive to Tsomoririen-route visiting Chumathang which is famous for medical hot spring. Also visit Sumdah village on the way and continue drive to Tsomoririlake a breeding grounds for numerous species of birds.

After breakfast, drive for Jespa (135 kms away, 08 hrs drive). The road Jespa crosses high mountain passes, Nakeela Pass, Lachalung La (5066m) to reach the Army Camp in the Pang valley. Tangland Pass (5360m), the second highest mountain Pass in Ladakh and then reaches Jespa.
Overnight in tents.
After breakfast, drive for Jespa (220 kms, 08 hrs. drive). Leh- Manali highway is the most popular and spectacular view. Enroute visit of Rohtang Pass (3978m) and then cross it to enter the Lahaul valley and Keylong village, and beautiful landscapes.

Morning visit 400 years old Pagoda Temple of Hadimba Devi and old Manali to see the Manu temple. Afternoon, visit Vaishisht hot sulper spring bath.
Overnight at hotel.
Morning leave for Dharamshala. This hill station is closest to the Perennial snowline and now the seat of Dalai Lama. On arrival check in at the hotel.

Morning explore this town known as “Little Lhasa”. Here, the spinning prayer wheels and fluttering prayer flags spread the message of peace and universal harmony. Visit the temple of Dalai Lama and Tibetan refugee camp.

Morning leave for Amritsar. Arrival and check in at hotel.
Afternoon, city tour visiting Maharaja Ranjit Singh panorama Museum. Later visit Wagah border to see chage of guard ceremony between India and Pakistan.Late evening visit Golden Temple to witness Evening ceremony also visit Akal Takht, the immortal throne which was established by sixth Guru GuruHargobind Ji in 17th Century.

After breakfast, transfer to airport to catch flight for Delhi. Upon arrival proceed for city tour of historic city of Old Delhi to include magnificent Red Fort (drive Past), The Jama Masjid, India`s largest mosque, Rajghat – memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.
Afternoon, sightseeing in New Delhi to include Qutab Minar, India gate and Government buildings.
Late evening, transfer to international airport to board the flight for onward destination.
