Mohabbat-e-Taj Show

null‘Mohabbat-e-Taj’  show that is held at Kalakriti Cultural centre Agra to depict the saga of Mumtaj Mahal and Shah Jahan. It is a live show which is presented by the Sanskritik Natyashala. The show is an effort to hold up the cultural and historical heritage of India. The show presents splendid lifestyle of Mughal dynasty. The most attractive part of the show is the replica of the Taj Mahal which is shown in the end of the show. By hydraulic lift the replica is lifted slowly on a lotus shaped platform. It depicts various aspects of Taj Mahal. 

Taj Mahal is the symbol of eternity of love and a rich example of Indian history & Mughal architecture. It is a monument which was made by Shah Jahan in the memory of his loving queen Mumtaj. It reminds about the true love of Shah Jahan and Mumtaj. Taj Mahal is situated in Agra at the south bank of river Yamuna. It was listed under UNESCO world heritage site in 1983 and has been winner of the New Seven Wonders of the World (2002-2007).

Dharohar Folk Dance at Bagore Ki Haveli

nullBagore ki Haveli is a mansion turned into a museum in Udaipur built by the ruler of the Mewar province in the 18th century. Situated in the Gangori Ghat, Bagore ki Haveli has an astounding 138 rooms. The mansion is also home to many cultural attractions like the longest turban and gallery containing many art pieces.

The Dharohar Dance Show is very well organized starting with a brief introduction given by a Rajasthani woman dressed in a traditional Rajasthani attire. The performances are preceded by the beating of a drum, blowing of a conch shell and a religious song.

The show consists of well choreographed dances ably supported by the musicians playing tabla and harmonium. The women performing the dance wear typical Rajasthani folk costumes with colorful ghagra cholis embodied with glass work and embroidery work.

After varities of dances leads to Rajasthani Puppet show and Ghoomar dance. 

The Dharohar dance show at the Bagore-ki-Haveli is a colorful and vibrant show that showcases tradition and culture of the Rajasthani folklore in an interesting manner. The skills and artistry of the performers are definitely worth admiring and should not be missed by anyone visiting this beautiful Haveli.
